Role Summary
The role will provide complete oversight of all worship and prayer activities in Dayspring
Church Birmingham. This includes leading worship, teaching music and worship, mentoring
emerging leaders, working with the Senior Pastors and supporting the growth of the church
community. The role requires both ministry training and practical pastoral care experience.

Key Responsibilities
1. Worship Leadership
- Plan, prepare, and lead weekly congregational worship activities.
- Coordinate with worship teams, volunteers, and other ministry staff.
2. Pastoral Care
- Provide counselling, guidance, and support to the worship team members
and the prayer team members. . - Visit members in need, including hospitals, care homes, and homes of the
congregation. - Offer spiritual guidance and mentorship for members of the worship team and
prayer team - Work with the Senior Pastors to provide care to other members of the church
3. Teaching and Discipleship
- Support the Senior Pastors to develop and deliver Bible study sessions,
classes, and seminars for all age groups. - Support the Senior Pastors to mentor and train emerging leaders within the
congregation. - Encourage spiritual growth and application of faith in everyday life.
4. Church Oversight and Administration
- Oversee programs and outreach initiatives for the worship team and support
the senior pastors are doing the same for other church programmes. - Work withSenior Pastors and members of the worship team and prayer team
to ensure the smooth operation of the church. - Assist with planning and implementing strategic initiatives for church growth
and community impact.
5. Community Engagement and Outreach
- Lead community-focused events, mission activities, and service projects.
- Foster partnerships with local organisations to support social and spiritual
initiatives. - Person Specification / Skills Required
- Proven experience in leading congregations or faith communities.
- Strong pastoral and counselling skills.
- Excellent communication, teaching, and public speaking abilities.
- Leadership skills and the ability to mentor staff and volunteers.
- Understanding of the UK cultural and social context for ministry.
